Growing up with a father who’s also a writer, she has always appreciated the power of words. In ninth grade, she won two national high school poetry contests for a poem titled “Crying With God.” Aside from being an editor, Eva is the president of the Remember Us Teen Board, and a member of a competitive dance team. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, playing the piano and spending time with her four siblings.

If you happen to spot paper bills on the floor with the head of History teacher Mr. William Reusch on them, pick them up. They may not be very useful at a Starbucks or clothing store, but "Reuschbucks" are pretty valuable to certain students in Mr. Reusch's classes.

The sugar content is going down at Shalhevet. This year, instead of sweetened morning cereals like Frosted Flakes and Fruit Loops, Shalhevet has introduced healthier choices like fresh fruit, yogurt and almonds.
