If you answered mostly A’s…
You are on top of it. You take pride in your neatness and thrive when order rules. Your favorite part of every class is when the teachers hold up your neatly done homework. Just don’t take it to the extreme. Sometimes getting things finished on time is more important than being compulsively neat.
If you answered mostly B’s…
No worries, you can be neat. Sometimes the only way to go is to leave the organizing for later. But remember to control your procrastinating tendencies.
If you answered mostly C’s…
Quick! Hire an assistant. You need to keep tabs on your stuff because it’s really stopping you from getting things done. When leaving a class in a rush, resist the urge to stuff all of your papers in the nearest pocket. Being an organized person means you never have to rush.
5 tips to Stay Clutter Free:
- If you have five minutes, take the liberty to empty out the pockets in your binders and go on a hole-punching binge. Throw out all useless crumpled papers.
- In 10 minutes you can organize your jewelry box. Separate all necklaces, rings, bracelets, and earrings. Use a circle binder clip to keep your necklaces, bracelets and rings in order. Use a piece of cork to tidy up your earrings.
- Use rubber bands to keep all of your shoes put together. Rap the rubber bands around every pair of shoes so that you can always find both shoes.
- If your drawers are constantly cluttered, you can organize your mess with duct tape. First, remove all of the items in the drawer. Tape down lines across the drawer creating mini squares bordered by duct tape; this creates compartments in your drawers without wasting money on special organizers. Although the borders are not raised, the duct tape allows you to put all of your essential items in each segment of the drawer, giving it that organized feel.
- When moving on to a new section or after a test, always paperclip your previous notes together so that they do not get mixed in with your current notes. This will help minimize confusion when it comes to studying for tests.
