In separate e-mails sent to students and faculty late Wednesday night, the special Erev Yom Kippur schedule set for this Friday was cancelled and normal Rosh Chodesh-Selichot schedule was put in its place. The “Erev” schedule, introduced last week on Erev Rosh Hashanah, had different class periods meeting for each grade. Below is the e-mail sent to students by Acting General Studies Principal Roy Danovitch. Dear Shalhevet Students, We have restored the regular Friday schedule for this week, and beyond. The Erev schedule was created to give AP classes, and some others, extended instruction time. However, some serious schedule conflicts emerged, for students and teachers, and advisory was also lost in the equation. Your teachers have been made aware of the move back to the regular Friday schedule. Please speak with me tomorrow if you have any questions. Sincerely, Roy Danovitch Acting Principal, General Studies
