Samantha Wannon: Summer Life in Israel

I started going to Israel since I was four, every summer for usually a month-and-a-half with my whole family. I ended (going) when I was 12 years old and I’m 14 now. My parents really feel connected to Judaism; in a way when they went to Israel they felt like they were at home. Israel is really special to us because we have my great-grandma buried there. My favorite things to do are just explore by kayaking, surfing, paddle-boarding, and doing a bunch of activities that I usually don’t do in LA. Then, because of corona, I wasn’t able to go this summer, so we were very sad and disappointed. I miss Israel and all the memories that I have created with my family. I do not plan on moving there, I just like visiting. I am just hoping and praying that I will be able to go soon.
