Natalie Harkham: Love For Rock

I started playing piano when I was young, and then I started playing guitar. I like any kind of rock. It just makes me feel good — if it’s sad or happy or whatever, there’s always a story behind it, or even not, it’s still good.  It’s something that’s always there to rely on.  If I want to listen to something, if I’m stressed or anything, every song is different and you can interpret them differently.  It’s kind of like a story.  If you listen to albums on repeat, something I do ’cause I get obsessed really easily — I listen to it over and over and over again and I hear something different.

I would say my favorites are either David Bowie or Joni Mitchell, because they’re both so poetic — they’re both poets, so they know how to use words so well it’s insane. When I get older, I plan on writing music, ‘cause I don’t wanna be a nobody. I plan on writing things that people like — guitar, electric or acoustic, and a bit of piano and a bit of bass.
