Benjy Diamond: Glad his dad’s at school

“My dad started working here last year. Most people would think it’s embarrassing but I like having a friendly face in the hallway. Every time I see him we have a very friendly and laughter-filled exchange. He gives me money when I want food and it’s nice to see him throughout the day. My dad probably knows some drama with the teachers but he doesn’t tell me. It’s very convenient for me to have my dad come to school, because if I forgot something at home like my lunch or an assignment, I can ask him to bring it to me. I think students think that my dad is a really chill teacher because they watch movies in his class. I think it would be worse if my dad didn’t work here.”
