Jack Metzger: Hawk’s Eye To Improve
“I go by a quote: ‘You don’t lose, you either win or you learn.’ When I don’t win, I feel like I can learn from the experience and get better. I always go back to that game in my mind, and say, ‘What did I do wrong? What can I do to make my team better?’ I started playing when I was four or five years old. I started off playing tee-ball, and I enjoyed it. So I kept going, and every year I enjoyed baseball more. That’s not when I first started loving baseball, however. I loved it the minute I was able to watch a game. Now, I’m always watching baseball, and I go to games every year. Whenever I get to the field, I feel an embrace, and I really connect with the game. I shut down everything around me, and I am one with the game.”
