Shalhevet carpools will face road closures throughout Beverly Hills, Beverlywood and elsewhere this afternoon because of a visit from President Donald Trump, according to the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles police departments.

Some road closures started at noon and will last until 8 p.m., while others — including Robertson Boulevard from the Santa Monica Freeway north to Wilshire Boulevard — will be closed from 3:00 to 6 p.m. because of security needed for a visit by President Donald Trump, police departments have announced.

President Trump is in Los Angeles for a meeting about the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, set for the Montage Beverly Hills hotel on Canon Drive between Wilshire and Burton Way, followed by a fundraiser, also in Beverly Hills.  His schedule says he will fly out of Los Angeles International Airport at about 7:30 p.m., heading for Las Vegas.

The BHPD statement announces actual road closures, while the LAPD “traffic advisory” lists areas to avoid.

Beverly Hills, Calif. – To assist the public in avoiding possible traffic congestion during the visit of the President of the United States on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, the following areas of Beverly Hills should be avoided when possible to prevent travel delays for community members:
 
INTERMITTENT CLOSURES
The following roadways will be intermittently closed between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. and again between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.:

• The area around Robertson Boulevard between the City of Beverly Hills’ southern border (Whitworth Drive) & Wilshire Boulevard
• The area around Wilshire Boulevard between Robertson Boulevard & Beverly Drive
• The area around Crescent Drive between Wilshire Boulevard & N. Santa Monica Boulevard

 
COMPLETE Closures
The following roadways will be completely closed between 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.: 

• Beverly Drive between Wilshire Boulevard and Dayton Way
• Canon Drive between Wilshire Boulevard and Dayton Way
• Clifton Way between Crescent Drive and Canon Drive
• Crescent Drive between North and South Santa Monica Boulevards (closed between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.)
