There are students at Shalhevet who argue about golf’s validity as a sport on a regular basis, but the Firehawk golf team proved its side of the argument by making it to just one stroke away from winning the league championship.

A New Roads batter stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the fifth inning at a Shalhevet-New Roads game April 13. Firehawk pitcher Asher Remer pitched the ball across the field to him, and the New Roads batter swung the metal bat and was struck out. He was out, but a teammate high-fived him as he trotted back to the bench and others hollered a job well done.

They lost their coach just as the season was starting and after some negotiation, settled on a team member to lead them. But the Firehawk tennis team still managed to surpass last year’s five wins and four losses with a 7-3 game record this season.

Sarachek 2016 is upon us, as New York becomes the epicenter for Jewish High School hoops. Knowing that people are interested but don't really know much about the Jew-ball scene, I have compiled a list of players that are must watch. These guys might not all get all-tournament honors, but they are box office; they are the top 5 players to watch this weekend.
