JoJo’s Junior Blog: Finals without freaking out

It’s finals week everyone! Isn’t this just the best time of the year? With everyone freaking out and not knowing how to spend their time, I’m going to give a few tips that I have found helpful when studying over the years:
1) Study in increments: don’t try to be Superman. There’s no way that you can stay sane trying to do all of your studying in one sitting. Take your time and periodic breaks.
2) Exercise: during these breaks, don’t just sit around watching TV or doing nothing. This will not help you get reenergized to start studying again. Go exercise, get the blood moving and then come back to those textbooks.
3) Talk things out: whether it be to another person or yourself in the mirror (I know it sounds crazy but it works). Talking out things means you have to memorize them so you can show you understand.  It can be a really helpful tool.

These are my quick tips to being successful during the most stressful week of the semester. Good luck of everyone!
